Forms of Resonance is a one-of-a-kind multisensory performance that expands the boundaries of piano repertoire with its live visuals and interactive technology. Featuring works by Ravel, Liszt, Scriabin, and Takemitsu, this program transforms the traditional recital by blending classical music with generative digital art.

The visuals respond live to the music as it is performed, adding a spontaneous and immediate element to the experience. This is achieved through the Yamaha Disklavier, a piano that records every note and gesture, feeding data into custom software that creates dynamic visual environments. Additional motion controllers track the pianist’s hand and finger movements, which are visualized alongside the music. A separate motion tracker allows the visual artist to interactively shape the three-dimensional scene, making each performance unique and immersive.
